Welcome to Maplecove. My name is Jen Milani, and Maplecove is the sole hobby of myself and one of my true passions. We are situated in the beautiful Brandywine Valley in Delaware and I have been active in showing dogs for the past nine years. Outside of the dogs, I run my own graphic design business catered to show dog enthusiasts, and work part-time at a local veterinary hospital.

My dogs are spoiled members of the family and can be found hogging the couch or bed on a regular basis. I strive to keep them in the best condition possible by keeping up with the latest in health and nutrition as well as holistic animal care when needed. My goals as a breeder are to produce animals with correct structure, fluid movement, and stable temperaments. I do not take breeding lightly as there is no excuse for compromising health. I take the "whole dog" into consideration by researching pedigrees, breeding to solid temperaments and making sure my dogs are all up to date on health testing such as OFA, CERF, Vwd as well as thyroid.

Each breeder should have a direction in mind when starting out in dogs, and that direction to me is consistency and depth in a breeding program. To be able to have dogs that not only win, but produce better than themselves, is a true testiment of quality and a goal I strive for. As I grow deeper into this wonderful sport, I look forward to watching Maplecove Shelties evolve into a line of dogs I can truly be proud of.
